Rod

Rod is a transportation professional having worked in the industry for over 32 years, in positions from driver to dispatcher and sales to management. Rod’s experience includes positions with various courier and local cartage operations as well as regional and international full load and LTL carriers. Rod started and operated Demand Dispatch Services Ltd from 1979 until sold in 1992, during which he built the Victoria based messenger service into a national overnight courier system. Rod followed this with appointments as the General Manager at Corporate Couriers Ltd and as Branch Manager at Dynamex Express.

After postings with full truck load and LTL carriers Kindersley Transport and West Arm Truck Lines, Rod identified a lack of quality customer service that existed in the courier industry. It was this desire to provide a higher level of quality service that lead to the founding of Lantrax Logistics Ltd in June 2003.

Rod attended high school in Orangeville, ON, Simon Fraser University, Burnaby, BC followed by business training at the Banff School of Advanced Management in 1996.

Rod plays hockey year round, enjoys running and rides a road bike. He was the recipient of a Paul Harris Fellow recognition award presented to him in 2007 by the Rotary Club of Langley Sunrise.
